An unexplained spike on the water bill, a damp patch on the floor with no obvious source, or the faint sound of running water somewhere in the walls — hidden leaks are frustrating precisely because you can't see them. Our Ava technicians use acoustic and thermal equipment to find them without tearing into walls or floors on a guess.
Detection equipment on every Ava truck means we don't have to guess and open drywall speculatively.
Locating the leak precisely keeps any necessary opening small and targeted rather than exploratory.
Every technician performing detection work carries full licensing and liability coverage.
You'll see or hear the detection results and understand exactly where the leak is before deciding on repair.
These are the hidden leak scenarios we investigate most often across Ava, IL.
Listening equipment picks up the sound of water escaping under pressure, even through concrete or behind walls.
A leak beneath a concrete slab is pinpointed using acoustic and thermal methods before any concrete is opened.
Infrared imaging reveals temperature differences caused by escaping hot or cold water behind walls and under floors.
We locate the actual leak point, which is often not directly behind the visible water stain.
Underground irrigation and pool line leaks are diagnosed with the same precision as household leaks.
An unexplained increase in water usage gets investigated systematically to find the hidden cause.
Describe the symptoms to dispatch — a wet spot, a sound, or just a rising water bill all help narrow the search.
A technician arrives with acoustic and thermal detection equipment ready to survey the affected area.
